Led by the vibrant vision of celebrated artist Shag, they've rescued a tired-but-loved Palm Springs Midcentury Alexander pool home and reimagined it so visitors will feel as though they have climbed into a life-size Shag painting!
Built and furnished straight from Shag’s bold, stylized renderings, The Shag House will primarily be used as a setting for good works, made available to charitable organizations for their fundraising and service events. The property has been space-planned for hip house tours, swank cocktail parties, glamorous gourmet dinners by private chefs, sleek wine tastings, and lectures and discussions about history, architecture and design.
“I want people to look at this house and say ‘That looks like 2030!’” — Josh Agle (Shag)RESERVE THE SHAG HOUSE FOR YOUR EVENT!
The Shag House has already been the stage for some very memorable Palm Springs moments, and owner/philanthropist wants the property to continue being used as a setting for an abundance of good works - and good times.
From the very start, The Shag House was created as the ultimate place for charitable organizations to host their vital fundraising events and membership drives, including swank cocktail parties, gourmet dinners prepared by private chefs, and intimate wine & spirits tastings. Shag created areas around the property with iconic soirées in mind, and now those Shag-tastic spaces will come alive in support of wonderful causes.
The 4-bedroom / 3-bath Midcentury Modern home is fully equipped for entertaining—including a flexible furnishings plan, a symposium courtyard, a poolside bar & grill plus an additional interior service bar, and a deluxe catering alley. The property can easily accommodate a wide array of gatherings from a sit-down dinner for 12 to a cocktail reception of 150–and a variety of events in between.
We have paid careful attention to space-planning of the property so that The Shag House will comfortably accommodate small group training sessions, larger executive team-building programs and corporate strategy-planning events.
The Shag House may also be made available for photo shoots, filming and content creation. The property can also be reserved for Milestone Celebrations such as weddings, engagements, birthday celebrations and other life markers. All city-required permits will be required.✦ Dinner Parties ✦ Cocktail Parties✦ Milestone Occasions ✦ Corporate Events✦ Intimate Weddings✦ Charitable Events ✦ Executive Retreats
